what's new

First up is the long-awaited (well, by us anyway!) release of "My Education/Theta Naught Sound Mass II: Spritual Docking" on Cleopatra Records on October 15th. You can order physical copies directly from Cleopatra here: and you can preview the songs on iTunes and download it here:

We are planning some shows with our Theta Naught brethren to commemorate the release; stay tuned for news on those! We'll be promoting the release with an interview and preview on Tom Laird's fabutastic "Fade to Yellow" radio show on KOOP 91.7 FM (; on October the 12th at 7pm. We are really proud of the new record. We think it's a dramatic improvement over the first Sound Mass, as the band(s) really had time to gel together and work on the material much more as we played many, many Sound Mass shows in the interval between the two releases. This one is a lot more composed than the first, completely improvisational volume and even got the all star overdub treatment from some My Education friends and family. Not to mention the exquisite sound of Ryan Stanfield screaming. We hope you like it! The CD even contains two bonus tracks from our Daytrotter session we did at Big Orange studios in 2011, including the rousing "Dingerland", a must for all you Neu! fans and a live favorite.

Next down the pipeline is a show we have at Hotel Vegas this coming week on October 9th, viz:

Thursday Oct. 9th
Hotel Vegas
1500 East 6th St.
ATX 78702

10pm On Delay
11pm Think No Think
12am My Education
1am Midnight Masses

cover $5 cheap

This should be a good one. We recently played with Think No Think at the Pecan St. Festival and they were wonderful, and Midnight Masses, who are helmed by a coupla Trail of Dead dudes, wowed us at Holy Mountain last time we saw them. If you're on Facebook, check out the invite here:

Thanks for your support and please check back soon for more news and show dates. Peace.
